The Black Ice Clownfish is a cross between two other Ocellaris varients, the Black Ocellaris and Snowflake. These striking fish were the result of a happy accident that occurred when breeders attempted to create Black Ocellaris with Snowflake patterns. This first generation of Black Ice still exhibits the yellow orange coloration of the normal Snowflake, however, they have ultra-intense black markings around the irregular white bars.
Not only does the Black Ice Clownfish display unique colors compared to its more common relative, the Ocellaris Clownfish, but they are easy to care for too! Black Ice Clownfish are great for beginner and nano reefs. The Black Ice is very hardy and well-known for its ability to thrive in home aquariums, making it a great choice for novices and seasoned aquarists alike.
